Engineering Excellence in Steel
Cold Forged Parallel Thread Couplers represent the pinnacle of mechanical rebar splicing. The cold forging process compresses and strengthens the steel at the thread zone , resulting in threads denser and more fatigue-resistant than cut or rolled alternatives.
Each coupler sleeve features precision-machined parallel internal threads that engage with the forged bar ends at extremely tight tolerances, achieving 100% or greater of the parent bar’s tensile strength, surpassing lap splice performance in every measurable metric.
Specified for high-rise construction, bridge structures, seismic zones, and wherever bar congestion and material efficiency are critical design drivers.
The Cold Forged Parallel Thread Coupling system is a parallel threaded mechanical splicing solution designed for connecting concrete reinforcing bars ranging from 16 mm to 40 mm.
The system uses cold forging to prepare the rebar ends, followed by parallel threading. The coupler then connects the bars, creating a full-tension splice capable of withstanding high tensile loads.
Rebar end is cut perpendicular using a mechanical bar cutter — no torch cuts permitted.
Bar end is cold-forged using purpose-built equipment, enlarging the diameter at the thread zone.
Parallel threads are machined onto the forged section to the specified engagement length.
Bars are threaded into the coupler sleeve. Correct make-up length is visually confirmed.
